A very rare superb quality 19th Century black forest carving of an Arab riding a racing camel, the quality and execution of the carving is fabulous. Camel racing on the Arabian peninsula has been going on for centuries and is now a popular sport, not only in the middle east but also in western Asia, parts of Africa, Pakistan, Mongolia and Australia. Circa 1880.
