A superb quality mid 19th Century carved Anglo – Indian cabinet influenced by Brighton pavilion, the shaped arched pediment above a two door cupboard opening to reveal a single fixed shelf inside, a shelf either side with decorative loose bold finials on top, further shelf below with carved columns, the back of the top section having lovely floral carving, the base section having a two door cupboard with a fixed single shelf inside, decorative carved columns either side incorporating mythical figure heads, the bottom having a shaped apron and standing on further mythical figure heads. The cabinet throughout is profusely carved all over and the door fronts include various floral carving along with Indian figures and mythical faces. Lovely quality carving and in excellent condition. Circa 1840.
