£535.00

A lovely quality 19th Century parian figure of the lady with the lamp which is associated with Florence Nightingale, here she is standing on a base holding a lamp up in one hand and holding what looks like to be a staff. The base is marked “Santa Filomena” Santa Filomena is a poem by American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, it is written shortly after the Crimean War in Nightingale’s honour. There is also another mark on the base naming the sculpture as J.Durham. There is damage to the staff she is holding. Circa 1860.
